Contribution to the Regional Technological Development
The implementation of the Professional Master’s Degree in Applied Computing by the Tucuruí University Campus (CAMTUC / UFPA) is relevant to the technological and scientific development of the region, mainly because it becomes another option for professionals who work in local companies and institutions, who are seeking qualification without the need to travel to major centers. This situation, which in the short term contributes to supply the lack of qualified human resources in the region, significantly influences the amount of investments made by companies and industries in local production. Thus, since its inception, the PPCA has been supported by municipalities, public agencies, companies, industries and educational and research institutions that collaborate through the execution of projects jointly.
